Which
files to use with your electronic cutter
All of our Paper Piecing Projects are supplied
in the following formats:
Color Separated SVG, Layered SVG, GSD, DXF, PDF and AI.
Cricut using SCAL 1 - use the color separated
SVG files
Here is a tutorial
on how to open and resize them in SCAL.
Cricut using SCAL 2 - use the layered SVG
file. The file will open really large in SCAL 2. Once you import the
SVG, click on "Keep Proportions" in the "Properties"
box and then type in a new width. Try 8" to start. Next click on
the "Object" menu and select "Ungroup". Now you
will be able to separate the pattern based on colour.
Wishblade, Craft Robo, Quickutz Shilouette
- use the GSD or DXF files
Note: If you are using the Xyron Create &
Cut Plus software use the PDF or the .ai file. The DXF files
do not open correctly in this software.
The DXF files open really tiny in some programs so you just need to
select the pattern and resize it.
Pazzles
- use the .ai file
If you have a cutter that is not listed here and you have a question
about the file types, please email
me and I will get back to you promptly.
