Digi Stamp Test Image and Tutorial
If you have never used a digital stamp before then this page is for
you. I've created a video and a written tutorial to take you through
the process of purchasing, downloading and then printing a digital stamp.
I have provided a free butterfly digi stamp for you to use to learn
how digi stamps work.
I would recommend that you watch the video first to see how I save and
print the stamp. Then you can come back here and follow the written
tutorial as you try it out for yourself.

Below you will find the written tutorial.
To use a digi stamp there are 3 simple things that you need to do:
1.
Save the digi stamp to your computer
2. Open the digi stamp in image editing software
3. Print the image onto cardstock
Before we begin let's open another internet browser so that we have
two browsers side by side. That way you will be able to read the tutorial
while you preform the tasks to download the digi stamp.

Step
1 - Purchase and then Save the digi stamp to your computer
Below you will see an image of a butterfly. This is the free digi stamp
that we are going to use in this tutorial. Click on the "Add to
Cart" button to begin the process of 'buying' this free stamp.

Here is what your shopping cart looks like. Click on "CHECKOUT"
to purchase the free digi stamp.
Next, you will be asked to enter you name and email address. Your information
will be kept private. It is only used to email you a link to the
digi stamp file so you can see how the process of purchasing a stamp
works.
If you don't want to enter your personal information that is okay, just
enter a made up name and fake email address and you will still be able
to continue with the process.
Next, a page will
be displayed with a link to the Butterfly digi stamp. We need to save
the digi stamp file to your computer so that you can easily find it
later.
Click on the words "Click here" to download the stamp to your
computer.
A "File Download" dialog box will pop up. Click on the "Save"
button.
It is important
to organize the files you download to your computer so that you can
find them easily in the future. For this example we will create a new
folder on the desktop so it will be easy to find.
A "Save As" dialog box will pop up and now you can choose
a spot on your computer to save the file. Click on "Desktop"
(step 3 in the image below).
Click on the "Create New Folder" button (step 4 in the image
below)
Type a name for the folder. We are going to call ours "Pink Cat
Studio Digital Stamps"
Double click the
new folder you created or highlight it and click the "Open"
button. We want to save our digi stamp in this new folder that we created.
Now that we are
in the new folder we are ready to save the file. Click the "Save"
button.
The file is now
on our computer and we are ready to move onto the next step of opening
the file in an image editing program. Click on the "Close"
button on the "Download complete" dialog box to close it.
